The time it takes to see progress in therapy varies widely depending on the person and the issues being addressed. Some people may start to feel relief and see improvements within a few sessions, especially if they are dealing with a specific, short-term issue. For more complex or long-standing issues, it can take several months or even longer to see significant progress. Consistency in attending sessions and actively participating in the therapeutic process can greatly influence the speed and extent of progress. We will work collaboratively to set realistic goals and periodically review your progress.

I am out-of-network with all insurance companies and do not take insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide you with superbills for our sessions that you may be able to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of session fees.
-
A superbill is a standardized form, similar to a receipt, that can be submitted to your insurance company so they can reimburse you for all or part of your session fees.
-
Whether and how much your insurance company will reimburse you for therapy depends on your particular insurance plan. Please contact me if you need more information about navigating this conversation with your insurance company.

To get the most out of your therapy sessions, it’s important to be open and honest about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Consistency is key to making progress, so it’s important that you regularly attend your sessions and be punctual. You can actively engage in the process by setting specific goals, practicing new skills or techniques outside of sessions and completing recommended home exercises. Take time outside of sessions to reflect on what you discuss in therapy and how it applies to your daily life. Most importantly, I encourage you to be patient and give yourself grace, as personal growth and healing can take time and effort.

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, I ask for 24 hours advance notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to avoid being charged for the full session fee. Please call, text, or email me to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
